Built Environment Students....

Did you know that access to Construction Information Service has been simplified? To access this database which has loads of useful information for all Built Environment courses all you need to do now is:

• Go to the Electronic Library page and Set LJMU as your institution
  
• Select Databases A-Z, type in Construction Information Service and hit Go
  
• Click on the link to be taken to the login page and after logging in and you'll then be taken directly to the resource

Why not log in, either on or off-campus and have a look at the information available via this resource

Athens downtime

There will be a short period of Athens downtime tomorrow morning (1st September) at 9am. This affects access to all Athens authenticated resources. Never fear this should only be for an hour then normal service will be resumed.

Go Mobile - mobile versions of key resources

Some of our electronic resource providers have created moblie versions of their search interfaces:

Ebscohost provide a number of our journals databases such as Academic Search Complete and Business Source Complete - you can get through to the full text of article using the mobile version.

IEEE Xplore delivers full text access to the world's highest quality technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics - the mobile version gives you 10 articles for your search, you can read the abstracts and are able to email a link to the full article to yourself.Both mobile versions are available from the Database A-Z and should work on most mobile devices.

PubMed was developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). It was developed in conjunction with publishers of biomedical literature as a search tool for accessing literature citations and linking to full-text journals at web sites of participating publishers.

They are all available from our Database A-Z or use the direct links below. They should work on most devices.

Informaworld downtime

Informaworld will be unavailable on Wednesday 4th August 2010 between 8am and 10am BST in order for essential work to be completed.

Digimap Collections - downtime

Digimap Collections will be unavailable on Tuesday 3rd August 2010 from 10am until approximately 4pm. This is to allow for a major hardware upgrade to take place.
