Trial - Global Issues in Context

We have arranged a trial to Global Issues in Context.

Global Issues in Context delivers the tools for understanding the state of the world today. With a balanced selection of articles, references, video, audio, images and more to support the search
for current, authoritative and accurate information.

Coverage of broad issues – like human rights, world trade and climate change – is complemented by more narrowly focused subjects, such as the genocide in Darfur and the product safety of Chinese-made products. Together, this depth of content ensures an eye-opening and thought-provoking research experience.

New Resource

We have just purchased a new resource - Bibliography of British and Irish History

It's available from the Databases A-Z on the Electronic Library page. On campus you don't need to log on to access. If you want to use this off-campus you need to use our Off-Campus Applications Service.

This resource provides bibliographic data on historical writing dealing with the British Isles, and with the British Empire and Commonwealth, during all periods for which written documentation is available - from 55BC to the present. As well as providing details of publications, the Bibliography provides links to online catalogues to help you find the items that it lists in research libraries in Britain, Ireland and the USA, and it provides links to online text where available (you or your institution may need an appropriate subscription to take advantage of some of these links).
