There is a planned power outage in the JMU tower between 8am and approx. 6pm on Saturday 15th May 2010 - this will affect many of our service including access to the Electronic Library and the Off-Campus Applications Service.

Please be advised, Informaworld will be unavailable on Thursday 6th may from 07.30-08.30am in order to complete some essential work

Trial - Skills 4 Study Campus

We have arranged a trial of Skills4studycampus.

It is an interactive e-learning resource focusing on the core study skills required to create successful coursework and achieve top grades. The site combines activities, practice and reflection to help users to learn and develop their study skills

ARTstor scheduled maintenance outage

ARTstor will be performing temporary maintenance on Saturday evening 1st May 2010 between 9pm and 2am EDT (8pm and 1am BST). At this time service will be temporarily suspended.

We have arranged a trial of the Illustrated London News Historical Archive.

It became the world's first illustrated weekly newspaper, sparking a revolution in journalism and news reporting. The publication presented a vivid picture of British and world events - including news of war, disasters, royalty, social affairs, the arts and science. Containing over 260,000 full colour pages, fully searchable and browseable, the ILN Historical Archive 1842-2003 provides users with unprecedented access to the entire run of this unique historical record.
